I’ve set the table to celebrate the day with red, white and hearts.
The quilted table runner is one I made many years ago for a class I taught. If you are a quilter the pattern is Queen of Hearts by Thimbleberries. I’m not sure if it is still available.
I layered three heart shaped plates on top of my square white chargers set on point. I used the chargers last summer here for my Watermelon and Ants table.
The dinner plate I picked up last month at Target. It’s melamine and was only $2.99. The salad heart is Longaberger from many years ago.
The cute heart lace edged bread plates are soap dishes from Crabtree & ?Evelyn. They are almost vintage as I’ve had them for about 25 years. The only soap they have ever seen is when I wash them after a meal. The red heart Kisses are also from Target – they open to hold about four Hersey Kisses. I used pink ones on my buffet with Cloches.
The napkins were made from the Candy Kisses line of fabric by Sandy Gervais for Moda.
The line is a few years old, but we still had some at Bolts in the Bathtub. I made a quilt from the fabric as well, you can see it and get the directions - Candy Kisses Quilt.
I also used it for the border in my new Valentine’s quilt. I’ll post about that late tonight or tomorrow morning.
The perfect beverage will be chocolate kiss martinis. I’ll be sure to remove the foil.
The glasses were given to me as a gift from my friend Lynn. I love how each one has a different etched design.
Who has the key to your heart?
It is only with the heart
that one can see rightly;
what is essential
is invisible to the eye.
