On a Wednesday afternoon it was a little slow at Bolts so Peggy & I decided to play.
I pulled some fabric.

And Peggy started to draw out a design. Sometimes it’s just easier to play on a scrap of paper than it is on the computer.

We chose a Bella solid in ivory from Moda for the background. Peggy laid it out…moving the different colors until they sang for her.

Then I started sewing, while she ironed.
We started the process in the late afternoon and it was finished before we closed at eight.

There were a few squares left over.

So from this…

To this – in less than four hours. It still needed a good pressing when I took this picture.

It’s basted & ready for quilting, hopefully we will get that done this week. I’ll show it as soon as it’s quilted and the binding is done.
Peggy has a fabulous artistic vision. I wonder what she will come up with next. Actually, I know what she came up with, but I can't share as it is for the quilt run this summer.

Very nice. I lean towards the "paper" thing, also. I spend enough time on the 'puter as is!!!
ReplyDeleteI know, sometimes on the computer I spend to much time figuring out computer stuff rather than designing.
ReplyDeleteHow beautiful! I have never tried quilting....Christine
