Quilters Mob

To say that this morning at the store we had a big surprise would be an understatement. At about 10:30 a large group of quilters came in the door shouting that they were a Cash Mob and they were there to spend cash to support us - their local quilt store. How wonderful is that?

Susan our Store Manager had been given a heads up and Michelle who is one of our incredible employees also knew. Just after the mob came in, Michelle arrived, checked in and started cutting fabric at the table. Everyone kept the secret so well we had absolutely no idea.

Can you see the tub? It’s almost hidden by quilters.



Over the next couple of hours others came in to join them in their shopping support of  Bolts in the Bathtub. It was amazing, crazy and so much fun.

I wasn’t able to get a lot of pictures as they kept us pretty busy. But here are a few to share. As the day went on others who were unable to join the group in the morning came into the store.

I so enjoy owning the shop and what I do for a living. I (we) are  lucky to be part of the world of quilters. Quilters truly are special people. QUILTERS ROCK!

Thank you to all of our patrons who allow us to be a part of their lives  and be their sewing room away from home. An extra thanks to those who were part of the Mob today. Your visit added such fun and  joyfulness  to our Saturday. If you see a grin on one of our faces in the next couple of weeks, we are thinking of being mobbed.
