Sea Salt Quilt

I seem to have the ocean on the brain right now.
We received this fabric from Moda a while back and
I took the name  literally. The pattern I'm designing
seems to have motion to it. Without any curved piecing.
Here are some of the steps I as  I am putting it together.

The stack of fabric ready to cut.

Everything cut ready for chain piecing. I don’t
usually use templates, but it was the best way to get
this shape. I cut the corresponding  piece to finish the
square with my Nifty Notions Half Rectangle. Although
a template could be used as well.

The quarter squares  are  cut with  the Nifty Notions
Quarter Square ruler. Sorry somehow I missed getting
it in the picture. Pre-trimming the corners using the
NN Half Square ruler saves on cleanup time later.
Plus it makes matching pieces shapes perfectly easy.

Fabric all cut and lined up at the machine ready to sew.

Quarter square triangles to go on large squares.

Have you figured out what it will look like yet? Stay tuned.

Stitch at you soon,
