A Visit to The Quilt Crossing

When visiting Boise I always like to visit The Quilt Crossing. They are the BERNINA dealer in the area and always have beautiful samples.

I was really looking forward to the visit this summer as they had recently moved into their new location. It was definitely worth the anticipation. The new location is beautiful starting from the moment you pull into the parking lot.

The new (?) logo on the front door is fun.

When  you step inside this medallion is painted onto the colored concrete flooring. Wouldn’t this be a lovely applique project. Not for me of course, but for those of you who do the “A” word.

When you look up there are lots of samples hanging from up high and wonderful small display areas around the store. The white painted vent system  gives an open airy feeling.

Don’t you want to make the quilt below and sit with a glass of lemonade? The pattern is from a local designer.

To the right through an archway are the BERNINA sewing machines, design cards & threads for embroidery, the classroom and many more samples.  Including bags, clothing for adults and children, woolwork, stitchery and so much more.

There is a reason I have been visiting The Quilt Crossing for the past 20 years. They are friendly, helpful  and give your imagination a place to take flight.

Thank you to  owner Patty Hinkel for allowing me to share her store with you.

Stitch at you soon,   Dawna
